US - US Representative Pete Olson (Texas) is introducing bipartisan legislation to increase competition, stabilise food prices and enhance American energy security and global competitiveness. The Olson bill, HR 3773, the Domestic Alternative Fuels Act, allows ethanol produced from alternative sources, such as domestic natural gas and coal, to be included under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and compete with corn-based ethanol.
