How to improve pregnancy rate
Print This Page IDEXX Launches Bovine Pregnancy Test

The IDEXX Bovine Pregnancy Test accurately detects pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAGs) in serum or EDTA plasma just 28 days after breeding and without interference from a previous pregnancy as early as 60 days after calving.
Because laboratories can run this easy-to-use ELISA in only 2.5 hours, veterinarians can count on the fast, accurate results they need to identify open cows quickly—and with confidence.
“Early, accurate and more frequent identification of open cows allows veterinarians to help producers shorten their calving intervals," says Olivier te Boekhorst, Vice President and General Manager, Livestock and Poultry Diagnostics.
"And, because this is a lab-based test, veterinarians can expand their services by working in partnership with producers, asking them to send in blood samples between veterinary visits to help identify open cows and optimise reproductive performance even when the vets cannot visit a farm in person.”
“This means more efficient milk production for dairy operations, more uniform calving for beef operations and, overall, more profitable operations.”
With the IDEXX Bovine Pregnancy Test, IDEXX is expanding its offerings, applying the proven science, expertise and technology from its diagnostic testing to a new challenge—improving reproductive performance.
This test will be offered through local livestock laboratories worldwide. For more information about the IDEXX Bovine Pregnancy Test, please visit idexx.com/reproduction, or contact Dr Christoph Egli, IDEXX Bovine Product Line Manager
