Friday the 13th Spares Milk Prices

Friday the 13th lacked any real horrors. CME spot trade was quiet, outside of a continued correction lower on butter. Butter fell 3 cents to $3.36/lb, Dry whey continued it's big volume week with another day in double digit trades and a jump higher of half a cent to $0.33 1/2/lb. Grade A Non Fat Milk was unchanged at $1.22/lb with Cheese tagging along at unchanged with Blocks at $1.70/lb and Barrels at $1.64 1/2.

 Class III milk was mixed with October down 9 cents to $16.84, and November up 11 to $17.41, and December down a penny to $17.59/cwt. 2024 markets got another nice pop higher with many months up 2-5 cents. 

 

Class IV milk was mostly unchanged or up a couple cents. October at $21.59, November at $20.88/cwt, and December at $19.78/cwt. 2024 was unchanged to 10 higher in most months. 

 

 

 

 

 

Grain markets corrected after and explosive Thursday. Corn finished down 2 ¾ cents to $4.93 1/4, soybeans gave back 9 ¾ cents to $12.80 1/4, with soybean meal slipping $2.90 for December to $390/ton.
