Fall Milk Prices Gain Some Ground
The CME spot dairy trade was mixed with Powder leading the move higher, Dry Whey up 2 cents to $0.28/lb, and Grade A Non Fat Dry Milk up a penny to $1.10 1/2/lb. Cheedar Cheese was unchanged with Blocks at $1.94 1/2, and Barrels at $1.80/lb. Butter was our lone market to slip lower, falling 3 ½ cents to $2.67/lb.
Soybeans led the grain markets in mixed finish to the week. Soybeans gained 16 cents to $13.87 ¾ with soybean meal $2.70 higher in December to $415/ton and Corn shaving off a quarter of a cent to $4.88/bu.
